Setting XDG_DATA_HOME seems to have had no effect.
But a workaround that avoids the crash: disconnect from network, launch Akr,
let it run for 10 seconds or so, then reconnect network, Akr does not crash.

The odd thing is that the SIGILL is only triggered on the X5670 CPU -- the
i7-4770R does not trigger the SIGILL (exact same code, OS, etc.)
