I have been working on a script, that will put a URL into a var when a
link is clicked. Then, when a second link is clicked a confirm dialog
appears, if you click ok, that var is printed.
Problem is, it works only the first time you click one of the first
links. If you click a second link, and

Invoking "show" with a speed argument causes it to animate the height
and width of the element. That really doesn't sound like a good idea
for table rows. Other effects, such as

Smart quotes from MS Word are a different charset (windows-1252). To
have them correctly displayed you'll need to set your page to this
charset and also check that your server accepts it (Firebug can tell
you that).

the following 2 plug-ins of jQuery interesting for our application:
1) FastFind Menu, it requires jQuery1.0
2) Rounded Corners, it requires jQuery 1.2.3
Basically, FastFind Menu doesn't work if I use jQuery 1.2.3!

The :first selector does the same thing as :eq(0), so this would work
equally as well:
$("#myelement").parents("table:first")
