The Jenkins wiki page on the multiple SCMs plugin includes several
different comments from people about popular SCM plugins which do not quite
work as expected with the multiple SCMs plugin. No mention is made of the
file system SCM, but there are several mentions of edit fields not being
preserve

Actually even I am facing difficulty in understanding what's happening. The
only observable thing is, I update the path field in File System option and
save it. Then in the jenkins console there is change in the log as below:

Hi, please give us more details to make it possible to help you. There may
be a gazillion reasons a plugin doesn't work, so we need to reduce a bit
the field of possibilities☺.
