Ah, the ACL thing does help; I'll have to mess around with that a little. The problem with revoking the create permission is that calling Hudson.getInstance().createProject() started failing after the upgrade to Jenkins, whereas it worked with Hudson. For now I worked around this with a mod_r

Jenkins doesn't recognize "nice" because that's a Unix-only feature; I'm not sure if there is an equivalent Windows feature. Of course, if your steps are shells, you can tell those to nice themselves. You could also "nice" your slave nodes when you launch them, if you do so by script. Nicenes
