this file is generated automatically on each time you run configure.
It is fine to keep the config.w32.h.in as dummy template (it is not
used), so we have a file in cvs with all possible values, just like a
autoconf's configurefile.
Ah no, you've misunderstood it. The config.w32.h.in file is n

Hi Pierre,
I'm about to commit some other changes, do you have any other pending
commits?
Not in this area. I'll concentrate on killing the .dsp files off - I tested
now and they don't even work any more under VC6.
One change I will apply is to put the useful functions and data in

There is not much left. That's what my last commits did. The only
difference I can catch are about rd instead of rmdir and the
zend-multibyte configure option. The ICU macros will be backported as
soon as intl made its way to php-src.
OK, but the *reason* I made a generic function was to avoid

I committed - several months ago - a generic 'probe' function that worked
perfectly for any binary.
Which branch did you use? The changes were only about syncing HEAD and
5.3.
5.3. I have a bunch of stuff here for merging to HEAD. Which I now have to
go through (again).

Hi!
Rather than lecturing me you could help. It is not that I want to drop it.
That's great. I help what I can (I sent one example I could find while
browsing Japanese lists with help of google translate) however I have
limited resources and can't commit them to this project right now, and

That is not going to happen if no one cares about creating zend multibyte
tests. Or we decide on getting rid of that stuff. Because obviously no on
ecares about it anyway.
I think it was known before you committed the patch that multibyte
support needs to be done. It's not something new, and it

Actually, it should behave like with flex: only rebuild when it is
necessary (due to the file being touched).
This _is_ behaving like flex under doze!

Hello Stanislav,
since when does building PHP on windows require anything of Cygwin?
In fact those are two completely different platforms. Not that PHP and re2c
wouldn't both support both. However I do not see a reason to require re2c
after all when finding a way around the -g switch. That is we

it get properly generated files every time
Sounds like a plan. (And to pierre too.)

Flex is installed by cygwin (which everybody that does anything with

after googling for re2c, but why make the builder jump through the
