FYI. Given the shift of the 7.0.0 release date by one week off the usual two
weeks release schedule, 7.0.1RC1 is planned for December 10th and to be
tagged on December 8th. This serves two goals

A year is the general time frame. 5.6 was August 2014. But don't forget you
need to aim for 9 months due to feature freeze and such.
