Sorry for the simple question,
but that are my first steps into gnus.
When closing gnus and reopening again,
all the news in the two topics, I subscribed to, are gone.
So I have to fetch them again.
Is that the normal behaviour in gnus?
It would save time to keep the displayed news
when op

Gnus by default only shows groups with new articles in them.
You can press 'L' to show even groups with nothing new in them.
Or do you mean that the subscriptions disappear? If so:
