I am not sure I understand how this works. I compiled Cyrus imapd 1.6.24
with --with-auth=unix, and SASL 1.5.24 with various different methods of
authentication, passwd, shadow, plain. System is a Cobalt RAQ4i (essentially,
Red Hat 6.0).
Imap users cannot be authenticated under any of these con
First of all, thanks for your help.

Unfortunately I do not have any clients that
support secure logins except OE 5.5 and that's
not working yet. :)
So I really haven't been able to actually "use"
it yet. But the general idea is to support
as many as I can to accomodate lots of clients.
I did notice some complaints about not fi

hi
i try to compil cyrus-imapd 1.6.24
whith cyrus-sasl 1.5.24
and i have this error
ar cr libimap.a append.o mailbox.o mboxlist.o mboxname.o message.o
config.o imap_err.o proc.o toimsp.o setproctitle.o convert_code.o
seen_local.o notify_no.o
ranlib libimap.a
gcc -L/usr/local/lib -R/usr/local/
Have a look at the sendmail configuration in the old linux howto for cyrus.
This uses both local.mail and cyrus as local mailers, local.mail being
used
for non-cyrus users e.g. root. The one that is included in the 5.3
Suse
distribution is the one you want.

Is your sendmail daemon logging any rejections to syslog?

Hi all,
File Sharing question
In the normal mail system, user a should not have permission to read
user b's
mail. Now I use imap to connect to the cyrus server as user a by an
Outlook.
Then I try to download the folder list and I surprised that I also
download user b's
all folders and can read
Please ignore my previous mail as I make some mistakes.
But I would like to know the situation below.
The qutoa of user.abc is 1.
I send several mail to user.abc that make his account to 11000.
I continue to send mail to user.abc but he can't receieve it anymore.
Q: How can I make a warning
