Found it...
In my IMAP server I was checking ACL's for "user.name" (the mailbox
format used) but there was mailbox called "name" (no user. ) and the
ACL's for that mailbox were list read for anyone...
apparently my mistake... :)

has list and read permissions for "anyone" but I can't change these
options...

Then, maybe, the owner of this folder hast set the ACLs so that
everybody can read it. What IMAP server are you using? Has it ACL
support?

When I list the user's folder in the mail server the "unwanted" folder
does nor appear but in imp's Inbox list it appears.
