the problem. So I started adding back my changes one by one and testing
each time to see which one screwed up the tabbing and the "alt-shit-x".
As soon as I made html the default as per below the tabbing problems

When we email someone on our shared turba/mysql address book they get
added to the user's address book. Then the next time you go to email
them it says it doesn't know who to send it to because there are now two
