I got my P4 with 845 chipset working with PCQLinux 7.1
run X with a driver change to "vesa". Thanks to ilugd.
Now I am having to run xdm explicitly to start X. For
that I have to log in as root on the system. If any
other account is used, it politely tells me "Only root
wants to run xdm".
