I dont know about Debian, but had read about RH.
This was probably about two years ago.
Some one or some org had ported BASIS layer to Li on Oracle.
Check for Linux vs M$, I think this was one of the apps to have been
migrated successfully.

dd if=/dev/cdrom of=myfile.iso

I am using Mandrake 9.0.
My problem is that my video player
Xine is working fine in KDE desktop but in gnome I am able to play Xine
which runs a movie from CDROM Drive but no sound output is received. What may be

My problem is that i am unable to configure frequency table of
xawtv.when i run "scantv" it shows me options to choose from
various freq. tables but the frequencies are differ from what we
use here in India(ie:- PalBG).so pls advice on how to edit the
freq table.
