making bootable cd's.don't know any software for linux.

I was wondering, if it would be a good idea to setup an instant messenger
network, for ILUGD.
If you think it would be useful, I can set up a server on the net with
Instant Messenger on it. I intend to use Jabber server on Linux system, hence

1) There is no point in setting up a dedicated linux channel anywhere .
2)Those who want to communicate .Can use any existing IM facility available .
3)At most we can setup a webased frontend that allows us to use jabber as IM server(that has gateways to other protocols) . Then
