openoffice may convert a ppt. but then, you do get oo for win, gnulinux, mac, and hopefully for even more platforms, *unlike* mosoffice. all you need to do is get hold of a copy of openoffice 1.01 or higher for whatever platform you choose, say, win, and create your presentation in it. i work p
