I guess, there are lot of techies in the group.. everyone can contribute
to the newsletter but if we keep the frequency of the newsletter low, then
we can have more professional and better stuff. like once a month or once in
2 months..

Should not happen if you downloaded the ISO files.
Probably the CD is corrupted while downloading.
Did you check the MD5 sums of the CDs after downloading them ?
