Hello, 40 GB hard disk gives problem if u select autodetect in bios.It sometimes detects wrong number of cylinders.You can go to bios and select the cylinder numbers given(written) on the hard disk and also select the sector info etc... as given on hard disk . FRom mOhit kHullar --- M
