This is very ambitious. i hope you have the necessary man power, funding and
local support for the event.
Adhoc and impromptu strategies pose their own difficulties. A good plan is
essential. you can approach various colleges to participate in the event but
they will be more inclined to buy
I think their goal is to create a buzz and get as many people looking at it as
possible. it is a good first step.

AFAIK,The distinct difference between Astronomy and Astrology is that
Astronomy is a science of studying celestial bodies. Astrology is a
subset of Astronomy which talks about planetary positions
