Hello All ...
I'm trying to find details on some of the newer mnemonics ... starting with
SLLHH (among others) but have not found any Principles of Operations or HLASM

Would anybody be kind enough to point me in the right direction ??..

I wonder if the OP there would do better to use zFS with better tools
available such as chtag, extattr, and tr. But is IND$FILE zFS-savvy?

The latest PoOP for z15 has no such mnemonic as SLLHH. From what source do you
think SLLHH is a valid instruction mnemonic?

Waste of bits. IND$File is the b@stard child of an orphan. It's AMODE/RMODE 24,
if that gives you any clue as to its currency.

Yes, but ... The use of IND$FILE remains so prevalent (partly because
of absurd site security rules
Hello John,
No.. those are subtract instructions ... I was hunting for the shift

thank you though...

(It is historical, but still on-topic)
Some sources say there are three MP 3000 models:
7060-H30
7060-H50
7060-H70
H30 and H50 had 1 CP, H70 had two.
However HCD dialog showed also device type 3000. AFAIR it was 3000-A10
and 3000-A20.
I also found them described as "Multiprise 3000 Starter Pac

Not sure how it allocates files. There is no character string 'ALLOC' nor is
there an SVC 99 (X'0a63').
Do you know IND$FILE's foreign cousin, APVUFILE?

There was also a P30 model which was PID version of the H30 with a software
preload. The "starter pack" that I remember was a pre-configured software
offering (so you could get a turnkey system). Note these were 1GB, 2GB and
4GB machines hard to buy a laptop with 1GB memory now, 20 years

IIRC, the H55 and H75 were the equivalent generation 9672 machines that got
tagged as Multiprise 3000 to get them out at a lower price point.

I looked up that SHARE presentation, and indeed it does mention new shift
instructions like SLLHH, etc., but that presentation is just plain wrong -
there are no such instructions in z architecture.
SLLG / SRLG is what you need to use for that purpose.
