IBM Copy service clarification

Hi I have got a dummy query When we suspend the replication between H1 and H2 in a metro mirroring and recover it. Does that mean both the sites volume are in Standalone ? Means if H2 is getting updated does it also updates H1 simulateously ? Peter -
