Thank you for your valuable perspectives on this important topic.

Hi,
A few months ago, someone (maybe Ludovic) posted here or on Mastodon
about how to install the 'guix' executable that was used to reconfigure
a system into that system's system (or root) profile. Unfortunately, I
can no longer find it. Does anyone else remember it? Thanks!
Kind regards,

Hi,
A few months ago, 'guix publish' stopped accepting connections on a
bunch of my machines. It's painful for me because I run many customized
packages that aren't available on the substitute servers.
Did anyone else have issues with 'guix publish'? Thanks!
Kind regards
Felix
Nigko, that you attempted the recipe and found an error and a fix is
extremely helpful. It seems to me that what is written in "The
Repository as a Channel", when copied literally, has never worked.
I tried with a guile package instead of your test-repo package,
using gnu-build-system rather than
Felix Lechner via "Development of GNU Guix and the GNU System distribution."

Do the logs say anything of interest? Does a restart "fix" it?

Thank you for that pointer! I looked at guix-publish.log, which is most
convenient, and found the text below this message.

I did not try restarting guix-publish but restar

Hi,
While looking for something else, I came across a Mastodon post by
Ludovic about large store folders running out of space on ext4. [1]
In the thread from July, Ludovic asked about setting 'large_dir' by
default on ext4. [2] Efraim wondered about it too, but likewise received
no reply. [3]
