FYI, I've put together a solaris x86 page on my site for Go.
It provides go 1.10 binaries, as well as gccgo binaries, for Solaris 11.

Im involved in some crossplatform work, and ran into the following pair of
issues.
1. Apparently, default behavour in Go, is to set F_CLOEXEC, aka "Close on
Exec", on file descriptors.
And there is a public syscall, in the exec_unix.go source,
func CloseOnExec(fd int) { fcntl(fd, F_SETF
the checks. Though of course you have to becareful to not
accidently pass a Go pointer to a Go pointer.
