If main key is 1024, he cannot sign with SHA256; he can sign with a

I didn't test all events.
I only noticed that in some cases, the e-mailer fails, or GPG fails, in
getting the right key.
Anyway, if this happens, you can examine manuall
message, GPG provides a way to call automatically
the sender's public key on your designed servers, when it doesn't find it in
your PubRing; it goes on the Net, retrieves the key, incorporates it in your
KeyRing and than verifyes the signature on the message. This process can abort

I would try
gpg pubring.pgp
as GPG assumes usually the most relevant action.
Adding
keyring pubring.pgp

And
gpg --import pubring.pgp

It's not implemented on my system 1.4.9; needs a flag when compiling.
I cannot set S11 to S13 in my Preferences despite it's listed; if I try, I
get an error.

er). In that case you better use revuid.
So, what's to be done is Revoque all obsolete UIDs, and use Primary in the
EditKeyMenu to flag the current user ID as the primary one.
And after maintenance, upload the key to a KeyServer.

Are you sure?
In my opinion, if you update your key to a keyserver, deleted

ur actual keyrings in C:\GnuPG\Keyrings
Additional plug-ins like IDEA.DLL are in C:\Lib\Gnupg
Pubring.gpg and Secring.gpg are the default names for GPG; may be your
actual keyrings are not in that format but look like .pgp .pkr .skr, so you
only need to import them once, to create the .gp

There are several ways to disable compression:
"-z 0" or "--compress-level 0" on the command line, or the latter in the

I suggested a few months ago, to send ClearSign in Armored form; this mean
no encryption but compression, and no problems with charsets. But several
people complainted as they reader could not show the message.
