Hello Christopher,
I am not sure I understand the impact of this change.

Omit zero balance figures (checked)

The subtotal options are:
Parent account balances ( Account Balance / Subtotal / Do not show)
Parent account sub-totals (Show subtotals / Do not show / Text-book style

The first one describes subtotals *before* an account group -- see [1]

Deva,
See Chris' clarification. There will be no change for you.

A couple of questions.
1. Where is the config file to be edited? (I'm on MacOS so a file name is
probably all I need.) Or is this all doable in the wizard?

Richard, I got a similar error with some scheduled transactions. It
seemed to occur when there was a comma in one of the entries. Didn't

Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone was able to use "gnucash-cli --report run'. I have
tried multiple reports, and not one single was successful:
1. one standard report: gnucash-cli --debug --report run --name "Advanced
Portfolio" --export-type csv --output-file "apa.csv" "file.sqlite3.gnucash"

If you have more than one user (one for each institution) there will be

David,
Adrien referred to the Gnome Tweaks tool earlier. If you have it installed

It has no effect in the Cinnamon desktop in L

Wow, there it is! Right at the top. Why would anyone want to do that
And it works!!!
Thanks!

If you still have a copy of your user prefs for 2.6 the .gcm file in the
books folder contains the configurations for any reports that were open
when the data file was last closed. This could help to create similar
reports in the new format.

I seem to recall that GnuCash uses a couple of fonts that are not available
in Windows, so Windows substitutes something else. If you can find those
and make your own substitutions that may solve your problem. I am not sure
if those are hard coded in the program or how to implement them.

HiDPI Display?
Make sure that application scaling is enabled in System>Display>Advanced
settings. If that doesn't do it there are some more settings that you can get
to on the compatibility tab of the start menu shortcut properties: There's a
button called Change high DPI settings.

The only file in that location is .../gnucash/books/etsmoney.gnucash.gcm
I just ran each and every report with no problem - just ran it, then
closed it. No new files or folders created.

I have also seen this oddity. I have seen it in release 3.8 in Ubuntu
20.04. It has appeared on the tab for a report, usually after reloading
the report. I think that it persists until I close the file and re-open it.

That doesn't solve the problem. As mentioned at
https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/GTK3, I tried the following CSS and similar
variants,
#gnc-id-main-window {
font-family: Segoe UI;
font-size: 9pt;
}
That changes all the fonts, including the blurry fonts, but they stay
blurry.

Hi John,
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried various settings under "Change high DPI
settings". There are three options under "High DPI scaling override":
application, system, system (enhanced). If I enable this scaling option and
use "system" or "system (enhanced)" all gnucash fonts become blurry
I have just started seeing the problem on Windows 10, GnuCash 4.4.
I found that when I have many (as in too many to fit on the screen) tabs
open at the top and scroll the tabs across very quickly, the text on one of
the tabs will fall down exactly as Tommy has shown in his screenshot. If I

If the end result is that the options will change to what you described above,
it doesn't alter my report layouts, so I have no objections
Thank you Adrien!
But I still don't understand HOW to rerun the SX using a date in the past... My
SX has many lines and deleting/re-writing it would be a hassle.
