Hello.
While importing bank transactions in qfx format, I accidentally associated a
qfx file with the wrong account in gnucash.
How can I change gnucash to point to the correct account in future imports -
or to drop the current association and next time I import to prompt for the
account ?

I cannot find the solution that I used several years ago, but here is
something that you can try:
I don't guarantee that this will work so make a copy of your data file to
try this experiment:
1. Open the last QFX file that imports to the wrong account. Change the
name to something crazy and chan
Thanks David.
That sounds like it should work.
I’ll give it a try when I have a new qfx file to import.
I’ll confirm back that it worked (or not).

I have recently moved to a new laptop running Windows 10
I have three .gnucash files, Walsh, PSF and LOA, all stored on Dropbox.

You did not tell us which release of Gnucash you are using.
If you just switched to release 3.0, that is very likely your problem.
The solution is to revert to release 2.6.21 or earlier.

Should I try 3.0 again?

Thanks John.
I can't use 3.0 until they fix the import QFX function.
I manually replace the libofx dll and that works on my test PC so I'lll
probably update my production PC as soon as I can download a stable release
that resolves the problem.
