Hi List,
I am in the process of upgrading to the latest version of GnuCash, but

This effects both the standard Tax Invoice and Australian Tax Invoice as
they both use the same scm file.

Also, when I enter the price excluding vat (so 142,82) then the tax is still

Is this a bug or intended use?
It *might* be a GnuCash bug, but of course, others would need to confirm
this behavior.
That seems more like a facility of Windows than something for which
GnuCash is responsible.
And as noted, fixing it only applies to clean OS shutdowns/reboots.
Nothing catches the case of a power outage
There are still scenarios where a power outage happens or the user shuts
Windows down thinking all programs are safely closed when that is not true,
as two of innumerable examples.

Version: 4.11
Build ID: 4.11+(2022-06-25)
for a few months, on an iMac M1, Montery 12.5.1.
Yes, I see this in the register window. As well, the Accounts tab that has the
tree of accounts, shows that account as having the wrong value $6
For what it’s worth, I used MS Money for years, even the sunset edition. My
database became unstable and I saved myself a few times by restoring a backup.
You should certainly have those with GnuCash.

I've not seen this problem (I've been using GnuCash for 6 years, and my
data files is about 1.6M).
Have you done a file verification?

It could just be that you're providing a simplified example, but in that
screenshot I noticed every single line had the Checking Account as the
'Transfer' account. (other account)
Why not just run the report on the Checking Account only?
It would then give you a running balance that makes sens
Nope, the first one came through the list just fine.
