Just don't forget you filtered the register view! (there is a 'Filtered'
identifier in the upper-right of the register, but it is easy to miss)

I am wondering whether it is possible to get a transaction report which list

I have a lot of experience with PayPal transaction import with Quicken, and what
you're trying to do is impossible. Unless if PayPal radically changed their
system over the past year, all you can get that would be compatible with a
financial program, would be QIF format. QIF has no dupe detection,
I would think the first import would be assigned to the pending account, then
the second would be split between pending and whatever current final account
you’re using. There shouldn’t be any duplication that way.

Oops.
The regex filter is a late addition from 2017. Unfortunately regex negate

POSIX regex.
May I suggest file an enhancement request in Bugzilla?

If the reports you're interested in comparing are text based, and your
computer's OS allows you to use Notepad++, you might consider using
Notepad++ to compare the two files. Notepad++ is a free open source text
editor that has a great file comparison tool.

I would say consider the criteria you used to create the set of transactions
for each report, then try to craft a report using the options that gives you
only those that don’t lie in the joint set.
If *every* transaction on both reports is between two and only the *same two*

There are two ways. One involves adding a ’tag’ to each transaction, the other
involves using a spreadsheet.
If you want GnuCash to produce the report directly, you would need some sort of
’tag’ (this if figurative here, GnuCash doesn’t have a ’tag’ feature) in either

Hi,
You should probably start by uprading to a newer version of gnucash. 2.6.1 has
known issues attempting to report on large data sets. It is unfortunate Ubuntu
14.04 is tied to version 2.6.1. You may get a newer one via the getdeb
repository.
