OK, I saved this to a new DB and then worked. Thx!

yes, it helped a little bit. Now I can see all transactions however when I
try to add a new one: " unable to save to database".

No.
Tables:
MariaDB [gnucash_2018]> show tables;

| billterms |

FWIW I did "create table accounts_save from accounts;" in the mysql shell then
started GnuCash and got all of the tables empty. I don't know yet if that's
your issue but it's probably the issue for
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=796117.

Does the database have a table named something like “foo_save”? If so, try
dropping it before starting GnuCash.

OK, I turned on query logs.
when my 2018 DB (a problematic one):
Tcp port: 0 Unix socket: /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
Time Id CommandArgument
180527 18:51:29 8 Connect root@localhost as anonymous on gnucash_2018
8 Query SET NAMES 'utf8'
Nope, just opening a GnuCash after recovering my DB from backup.

As a quick workaround, I saved my transactions, accounts to XML under 2.6.x
and imported to 3.1 and saved to the database. It worked.
Looks like one of my databases is not recognized by 3.1.

I installed GnuCash 2.6.x on Fedora 27 on virtual machines. Everything works
fine.
I did again a test on fedora 28 and GnuCash erases all records during
opening a database. I can't find anything special in logs except /No
pre-existing state found, creating new one/:

Hello,
I've been using GnuCash for 6 years now. Today I upgraded my fedora from 27
to 28 so GnuCash as well (from 2.6.x to 3.1). Unfortunately, it does not
work correctly. My database is automatically cleaned. After typing a
password to the database, I can see an only blank page.
I generated a g
