Unfortunately anything in MariaDB log:

2018-05-27 18:22:34 140224845301504 [ERROR] Incorrect definition of table
mysql.column_stats: expected column 'min_value' at position 3 to have type
varbinary(255), found type varchar(255).
2018-05-27 18:22:34 140224845301504 [ERROR] Incorrect definition of table
mysql.column_stats: expected column 'max_value' at position 4 to have type
varbinary(255), found type varchar(255).

above errors the same for another DBs but no problem to open them.

btw. is it normal that under GnuCash 3.1 I have to type a password to SQL
during opening GnuCash all the time? I didn't have to under 2.6.x
