[GNC] Bug in latest version?

2024-12-08 Thread Edwin Booth
Here’s what I experienced: I downloaded my credit card statement (QIF) from the bank. I imported it into GnuCash. As usual, there were some items that were not yet assigned to expense accounts. I assigned one to “Expenses: dining.” The next one also was a dining expense so I clicked on that again.

[GNC] Downloading GnuCash updates

2024-11-22 Thread Edwin Booth
Hi. When a new update comes out, I’ve been downloading it and simply replacing the previous version without saving that older version. Is that a good idea? Or should I hang onto the earlier version until I know the new one is working properly? If so, how would I do that? ___

I just downloaded the GnuCash 5.5-1 onto my MacBook. This is the first update I’ve downloaded (currently running 5.4 but am still pretty new to it all—including the Mac). Do either of these apps work at all? It just says “Import” when I open the app, but then doesn’t do anything. I’d like to be able to input a cash purchase to go into my laptop app at a later time. Thanks, Edwin ___ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@
