My client provides a whole range of options: Reply; Reply List; Reply
All. No default.
It must be up to the email software the recipient is using. If they
want a new default then they need to get a new client with the the
default they want.

I am on numerous mailing lists. This is the *only* one where simply hitting
reply does automatically go to the list.

list admins. Most clients will have a reply to list function as one of the
options. My client (Evolution on Linux) for example brings up a dialogue after
selection of Reply to Sender which offers the options of:
