Here's a silly accounting question: I'm the treasurer for a church... Let's say I get a grant for $500.00 for a specific purpose The money is deposited into the church bank account It is spent in smaller transactions over the course of the following year or so How do I keep track of it? 1)

Average Balance report borken WRT stocks/mutual funds

It appears that the average-balance report is fundamentally wrong-headed about balance displays for stock and mutual fund accounts. Basically, when the average-balance report converts to the report currency, a fixed price is calculated which is used for all intervals in the report. This is OK f
