The only way I can think of is this but make sure you have a backup of your
existing work.
1) Make sure you are saving xml files and under Edit->Preferences->General
compression is not set.
2) Use File->Export->'Export Accounts' to create a new file with the
accounts.
3) Open the new file in

I set up Gnucash as best possible by extracting what I could from my crashed
Quicken, and many Excel spreadsheets. And 6 months of work.
I got all the info in, but not working properly.

I have created clean CSV files for the AR and AP; and transaction files
