Yes, that is a problem. Yahoo and potentially some of the newer
modules which provide wide-access quotes can be coaxed into
providing information from widely different sources. For
some sources we *CAN* be sure, for others it might require
some more jumping through hoops. I'd rather not

yield, and so on, depending upon what you're actually dealing with.
If you want to avoid price because sometimes it contains non-dollar
values such as percentage yields, then you might want to do
something like:
$value = $info{last} || $info{nav};

Split transactions have existed for a while. Try the following:
* Enter an account, and go to Register->Style->MultiLine.

G'day GnuCash people,
I've been writing a regression testing suite for the stock-quote
functions of GnuCash. I was wondering if anyone has investments in
the Vanguard group and has been using gnc-prices to keep up-to-date
with their funds? If you have been, could you let me know the

following revelas the bug nicely:
* Create a new stock account. Enter a stock symbol (doesn't
matter what) and save.
* Edit the new account. Verify that the stock symbol is still
G'day GnuCash Developers,
I've found a small (but very irritating) bug in the GnuCash

to ignore the date format preferences of the user, and displays the
date in US format instead.

G'day everyone,
A possible idea to keep down the total size used (not necessarily
the number of files) would be to split the monolithic GnuCash data file
into seperate files for each year (or some other timeperiod). Backups of
files are only made when they change.
