I had this problem also in my system with Italian localization. I solved the problem using a slightly modification of the command Try this: LANG=lt_LT.utf8 /opt/gnucash-svn/bin/gnucash If this doesn't work, try to post here the output of the command "locale" from a command line. Tadas Masiu
