Assuming your test device is also running mutter or gnome-shell, it
should only bind via the dma_buf_bind() function in
meta-wayland-dma-buf.c; there is no other entry point.
Do you have complete WAYLAND_DEBUG=1 logs from your test device?

(to answer in the reported issue) is why a subsequent mode flip fixes
things if the

Please report bugs in the bug tracker. In this case, the bug is already
reported so I suggest you add yourself to the CC list if you wish to
keep up dated. See

for more details.

Hi everyone!
Last week a GNOME Shell hackfest was held at the Canonical office in
Taipei, Taiwan. The topic was fractional scaling, and this E-mail aims
to summarize what was done, and future tasks. The hackfest was attended
by me, Marco Trevisan and Shih-Yuan Lee.
Prior to the hackfest, mutter h

under GNOME on Wayland yet. This is mostly my fault, as I have not
documented the plan for this anywhere. I'll summarize it here anyway,
and create bugs for progress tracking later.
The idea is to outsource the remote de
