Hi, the string change is probably due to switching to native gsettings support in gettext: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gedit/commit/?id=efe4de9a41cd1ebe131e7c6af3b6827520b47d35 I think those strings are translatable because in some languages it may be better to specify different default font
