Hi!
It seems like the Damned Lies server isn't updating the stats for
system-tools-backends-clone. I added a translation with the
appropriate LINGUAS update several days ago, but nothing has been updated
till now. Could anyone have a look at it?
Thanks,

Hi!,
Just wanted to let you know that I've just added the s-t-b repo to
git.gnome.org, it's at:
http://git.gnome.org/cgit/system-tools-backends-clone/
I'll keep an eye on it and will be pushing translations to the
freedesktop repo.

The problem is that s-t-b is not hosted on GNOME
Hi all,
I just wanted to mention that after fixing this bug [1], there are a
few new strings in system-tools-backends which should be added to
Damned Lies.
I do not know whether there will be time for that, but it might also
be worth thinking of releasing a new version of s-t-b with these
Hi Martin!
As usual in me, sorry for the late reply...

Dear GNOME Hackers,
The system-tools-backends module, recently splitted from the GNOME
system tools, have been moved to FreeDesktop [1]. IMO, being a project
that can be quite handy and has no GNOME dependencies, that's the
correct place for it, so that it can be used for other environ

Thanks for the notice. The translation status pages should show the new

Rather, it appears to be a bug in system-tools-backends
gettext initialization code, which is already fixed in CVS head, by
Carlos Garnacho Parro.
Thanks for your suggestion, anyway.

No. you should not use iconv, as it won't modify the header of PO, which
will cause the PO unusable. Instead, following command is preferred:
msgconv -t utf-8 -o LL-utf-8.po LL.po
use:
iconv -f -t utf-8 < your_locale.po > utf-encoded.po

Hello,
I found some problem while translating system-tools-backends, which made me
hesitate to commit.
The problem is that the encoding of the translated strings seems to be that of
current locale, while GTK+ widgets always assume UTF-8. This makes the
translated messages appear as junk, unless
