I was sure the Makefile.am was checked in, but it is not. I'll check
it in and see if that improves the situation. I'm not that fond of
having a file that we don't even use to explicitly declare

If it interests anyone, kupfer uses waf so we include very rudimentary
(so far) support for building and installing

Kupfer is now frozen for string changes until the next release, which
is scheduled for 1st February (approximately). Any interested parties
are most welcome to submit new & updated localizations.
