I just granted to Juliano the role of coordinator.
It would be a pity if Portuguese translations are rotting while waiting
for GNOME 3.38.
Juliano, if at some point a native Portuguese (from Portugal) speaker
steps up to take the role, I'm sure you won't block her :-)
Happy committing!

I agree with Florian that this could be very beneficial for the
Portuguese team. Even though there are differences (similar to en_US
and en_GB), the Orthographical Agreement (AO-90) helps by making
uniform a lot of words across Lusophone countries (Like Brazil and
Portugal). So, with hard work to f

Indeed they might. But I am using tools like kde and microsoft localization to
verify terms when translating things. It is not ideal, but it is better than
nothing. It is sad to see all work that translators done hanging there and if
something get misplaced, someone just need to report.

Dear Claude,
I hope you are doing well as well as your family.
I'm not sure you remember me so... I was the pt_PT coordinator for some years
(2001 until 2015 active although I lingered until 2017 trying to find someone
to replace me before I abandoned the post).
I just want to confirm that Juli
Hi translation coordinators,
I see that GTK master in the GNOME 3.38 core apps page in Damned Lies.
Can GTK master be translated, or should we stick with its previous
version (3.24.x) ?
Best regards,

Hi all,
Just wanted to check some rationale regarding ignoring some

Dear all,
I think a coordinator for PT-PT can be Brazilian because his job is mainly
coordinating the work of translators and getting the translations submitted and
merged.
I understand the role of the coordinator as a facilitator and as long as

Mmmm... I'm not sure about this. If Portuguese is different from Brazilian

to coordinate that team.
I don't know how deep are the differences between both languages, but maybe

Hi Claude,
It depends on what you believe is "ready". Let make me clear, I am not a
Portuguese, I am Brazilian. I speak Portuguese but not as they do in Portugal.
Still, I am kind of learning how to speak like they do and I use Linux as OS so
"why not merge the two things?" I was asking myself.
