Dear list,
How do I enable caret and focus tracking of Java GUI components (AWT/Swing)
with the Gnome shell magnifier?
I can't find any information on the web about this.
I'm on Fedora 20.
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers, Bas

Hi,
With this follow-up I'll try to describe ZoomText's current preferences
dialogs [2] and how they relate to the proposed preferences dialogs [1] for
the gnome magnifier.
As you can see in [2] the tracking preferences of ZoomText are split-up in
2 sections:

Hi,
I have the following problem and I'm not sure whether it is caused by
Firefox or the Gnome magnifier.
When the Gnome magnifier is on and I scroll through text with the arrow
keys in Firefox (address bar or in a web page, doesn't matter) then the
following occurs:

3. Fedora updated my system; gnome-shell is now at 3.10.3-8.fc20.x86_64

What I'm looking for is a feature similar to the hotkey Ctrl+Alt+arrow of
the Windows magnifier. This hotkey scrolls the magnifier in the direction
of the arrow key without changing the position of the mouse pointer.
Is such a feature available in Gnome?
If so, how do I use it?
If not, what would
Hi Joseph,
I'm a low vision user having a magnifier at 6-8x to be able to use a
computer.
Locking mouse, caret and focus tracking into a single mode is not something
that I would appreciate. The best combination of tracking modes depends on
the application you're using.
The combination of setting
According to the magnifier wiki page [1] focus & caret tracknig are in
development. However, related issues referenced by this page [2, 3] are
fixed for some time now. This is a very important feature for me, so I
tried to activate it with gsettings. Unfortunately I'm stuck and I need
some help.
