Hi Dan, you know I'm not sure from the description why that is
different to MouseKeys that is built into Windows or the X extension?

Actually TopKeys was done in Java using Swing and maybe it works just as
well on other systems like Linux and so on.
Have not tryed it. Also TopKeys needs some important improvements like the
ability to use it and the mouse at the same time.
At the moment when you are running TopKeys you cannot use
Actually,

Hi Halim:
I tried this:
0) Made sure the gksu keygrab was disabled (via Orca preferences GUI)
1) Made sure ~root/.orbitrc was in place
2) Launched orca
3) Ran "gksu gdmsetup" from a gnome-terminal window
The password dialog read just fine, but then I noticed the bad hang.
Surprisingly, when I
Hi
Sorry Will that does not work for me.
The desktop hangs as described in my previous mail.
When I change to a tty and type killall gksu, the application which was
started through gksu works and is accessible.
Try to start gdmsetup through its starter under system properties.
I think it's called

Hi Bryen:
The de facto keys for enabling other keyboard enhancement features are:
1) Press the shift key 5 times in a row to enable/disable StickyKeys
2) Press and hold the shift key for 8 seconds to enable/disable SlowKeys
The other features (e.g., BounceKeys and RepeatKeys) can be
enabled/disa
I just updated my Intrepid box as of a few minutes ago. I found that I
still needed a ~root/.orbitrc file and that I needed to disable the gksu
keyboard grab. Once I did these two things, I was able to use Orca to
access a gcalctool launched with "gksu gcalctool". Prior to making
those changes,

Is this problem caused by the fact that GConf now depends on D-Bus, and
when you run a GUI via gksu, the root-running process can't connect to
the D-Bus session?
If so, running "dbus-launch --exit-with-session (cmd)" instead of just
"(cmd)" might work better.

Yikes. This sounds like the X Server might be crashing. What OS

Hi Flavio:
Using svnversion 11 (the latest), I put a 'recordmydesktop' session of
me using "screen mode" up at http://master.gnome.org/~wwalker/out-2.ogv
It shows the difficulties I have trying to move the mouse even if I hold
my head very very still (so still that my neck ends up hurting). Wha
