Actually TopKeys was done in Java using Swing and maybe it works just as well on other systems like Linux and so on. Have not tryed it. Also TopKeys needs some important improvements like the ability to use it and the mouse at the same time. At the moment when you are running TopKeys you cannot use the mouse.
