Hi all,
The 2008 Live CD, does that include Gnome 2.24? Or is KDE being used?
Many thanks for any info!
4 the problems are gone.
So, I don't load the kernel module explizit and I do not start the daemon
automatically in one runlevel.
In my case, it seems to be done by udev.
I also have written a script to start/stop wireless lan manually.
I hope these information may help you.

Look at bug #246568. There you will find a patch which worked for me.
Someone has also posted an ebuild integrating that patch. But it does
not work for everybody and the bug was closed as a problem with
upstream. But perhaps the patch works for you.
Good luck

Also, things like fail2ban add new attack-possibilities to a system, I
remember the old DoS for fail2ban, resulting from a wrong regex in log
file parsing, but I think at least this is fixed now.

Ok, sounds like a sane configuration or installation issue, not really
a system problem. Let's try something with
-rebuild.sh
* to learn which ebuilds you need to recompile
* each time you update ocaml to a different version
* see the ocaml ebuild for details
The script asks me to recompile
[ebuild R ] dev-ml/lablgl-1.00
[ebuild R ] dev-ml/lablgtk-2.4.0
After doing this I get the same error. I tried to recompile ocaml, but
no change.
The sames happens if I use the latest (testing) version of mldonkey that
is in portage.
Any ideas what to do?

I have problems emerging standard xmms plugins, like xmms-mikmod,
xmms-mpg123, xmms-vorbis, xmms-oss, xmms-esd, xmms-alsa and
xmms-cdaudio. All of these produce the same error while emerging (the
following was produced by xmms-mikmod):

Encrypt your just generated key? I thought you wanted to get rid of
passphrases.
You can use the key like it is to en/decrypt your data by just putting it on
you pendrive and doing stuff with cryptsetup:
cryptsetup -d ...
HTH a little bit.
take care, have fun

Hello all,
I am running mldonkey as a daemon.
With this everybody can use mldonkey. I want to restrict the usage of mldonkey
to specific users. Is this possible in any way?
Thanks

s like dyndns, but the
other solution would be in enabling the mysql useflag, and writing a cgi
script - that could be invoked via wget for example - that updates teh mySQL
records within your own controlled zone;
(but I didn't find the time to write this yet)

Knows somebody a solution for this problem?

Today I did an "emerge sync && emerge -uDNpv world" and hoped for updating kde
3.4 -> 3.5. But threre were no updates for it. My question, is kde 3.5
already not stable?
Or have I to do something I forgot?
Best regards
