Hi.
Is there a way to redirect TCP connections from external network interfaces to
the local/loopback in network 127.0.0.0/8? I need functionality like DNAT

Hello.
My Gentoo box lose ability to work with virtual terminals on ctl+alt+fN in
about two weeks of uptime (it seems exactly 14 days after booting). I can
switch between terminals, but there is no signal on cable on VT except X.
I'm using proprietary nvidia drivers for xorg.

Hi there!
I think I have a problem with the system time, which is considerable too slow.
It looses about 3 seconds every 20 minutes (i.e. ~10 secs/hour or 4 minutes
per day). This seems to be too much for ntp to compensate.
When I start ntp, I get frequent "time reset" messages in the log:

Hi folks
The problem is solved now. Actually, a BIOS upgrade solved the problem.
Details:
The board is a Asus A3M78-Pro with a AMD 5050e Athlon64 Dual core CPU. Bios
version was V0902 with with it was originally shipped.
Asus bios notes for that board say that with Version 11xx a bug was fixed

I'm just trying to get an windows-application running, and I fail to
configure the dvd drive properly.
The problem: In winecfg 's drive-tab there is a setting "cdrom", but it
demands a path where the dvd/cd is mounted. But this path is dynamic
(/media/$NAMEOFDVD).

Hi all,
I've been away from my gentoo box for a month
and now after massive system upgrade
usb adsl modem startup script
complains about missing /dev/net/tun device.
I can start it manually later so it seems to be a dependency issue
probably related to recent udev upgrade. Suggestions appreciated.
Hi Peter,
Sure I have CONFIG_TUN.
It used to be working before emerge system and still
works when started manually after the startup sequence is complete.
I probably should rebuild the driver to see if it makes any difference.
ASAP after emerge world comes to a happy end:)

There now seems to be certain time lag between tun module is loaded
