Hi: I've been trying to access a Windows 2000 server shared folder in linux. I can mount the ///d$ drive I can see most of the accented characters correctly. I have googled the codepage used by MS (cp850, cp860 also works) and have their respective NLS kernel modules available. My mount comm

As many did I followed the instructions to upgrade to the new 2005.0 profile and symlinked to /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/x86/2005.0. As has happened to many an emerge -uD system -p tells me it wants to merge the 2.4 kernel. Well, I'm on 2.6.11-gentoo-r5 and have been on 2.6 for months.
