This is really annoying. I just finished a Gentoo install on my computer and rebooted after installing GRUB with the command "grub-install --root-directory=/boot /dev/hde" as stated in the Handbook. Right after GRUB loads the stage1.5 file, the system reboots. The first partition is active. Mar
