Hi PMC-Chair type folk on general@incubator.
Could someone add Naveen Swamy (nswamy@) and Mu Li (muli@) to the Jenkins
ldap group please.
Thank you,
Hen
Actually,I should have provided more details.
Imagine it like this:
Lots of interfaces,e.g,an interface "Class" which will have abstract
methods like putMethod(Method[which will be another
interface]),putField(Field[another interface]),and stuff like that.
Now, let's say we implement all these inte
Both have been added.

Hi,
What are the requirements on group, artifact, version coordinates for podling
artifacts in a maven repo with respect to “incubating” tagging?
Generally, [1] indicates a requirement to include “incubating” in release
bundle names.
We (Edgent) did that for our convenience binary bundle too, b
Dale,
My stance is that only the source artifact has to include "-incubating",
the maven convenience binaries do not.

Thanks,

This is what the current page says "Release artifacts must include

Hi John,
I am looking at https://whimsy.apache.org/roster/ppmc/pulsar and I wanted to
make updates to reflect the podling's status.
How would I make changes to the Resources and Licensing sections?
Specifically Pulsar is using Github for Issues and Wiki. Also the Software
grant was filed with
Yep.
Everything I’ve read leads me to believe “convenience binary bundles" (e.g.,
zip) and (maven repository distributed) "convenience binary jars" are “release
artifacts”. Hence it’s just that these jars are exempt from this “incubating
in the name requirement" for release artifacts. Is that

I would ignore those for now, but

Saying "in whimsy" is shorthand.
The data is stored in LDAP.
Whimsy provides a web interface to update LDAP. Yes, that interface
is committer only.

I've prepped some changes to the incubator guides to address this:
- Removed unnecessary sections, steps that just don't exist any longer.
- Remove the IPMC vote for subproject, instead make the podlings required
to vote.
