I'm following the Calcite project since before it entered the Apache
Incubator (when it was called Optiq) and as far as I can tell, I think it
has developed very well and is ready to graduate.
It has a very active and diverse community. Most of them come from projects
depending on Calcite, such as
I think the Flink 0.7.0-incubating release is missing from the report (See

I've edited the wiki page.

Hi all,
This is our second try to release Flink 0.7.0-incubating. The last time we
found a critical issue while the vote was running, so I had to cancel the
vote here.
The 0.7.0-incubating release will be the second major-version release of
Flink in the incubator.
The vote thread can be found he
additional work from the IPMC.

Expect another vote thread in roughly 3-5 days here.

Hi all,
The Flink incubator community has successfully voted for releasing version
0.7.0-incubating.
The vote thread can be found here:

Hi,
yes. Just request an git repository @ ASF Infra and give them the url of
your current git repository.
Most of the new projects in the incubator import from a git repository.

Hi all,
This is to call for a vote for releasing Flink 0.6-incubating. This is the
first release of the Apache Flink project inside the Incubator.
Vote on d...@flink.incubator.apache.org:

Hi,
it seems that Flink does not have a Shepherd assigned. It is also missing a
review by them. But it looks like half of the projects are missing
shepherd/mentor notes.

Hi,
I found some inconsistencies in the July report.
Apache Stratos graduated in May, so it should not report anymore, right?
Flink is a new podling, and in my understanding, new podlings have to
report monthly in the first three months. The project is missing in the
list.
I think this commit

The reasoning behind this was that our project was ready to release a new
version but the Apache infrastructure was not yet set up.
Therefore, we decided (together with our mentors) to make a release outside
Apache, while being formally accepted into the incubator.

I changed the podling.xml in the incubator svn repository and set the
reporting to monthly. jfarrel told me that I can update the file myself. So
the issue is resolved.

Hi,
I think Flink (formerly known as Stratosphere) also has to report monthly,
since we are in the first three months of our incubation. We are not in the
list with the monthly projects here:
http://incubator.apache.org/report-groups.txt
I think Optiq is also missing in that list.
I added Flink t
Hi,
I need write access to the incubator wiki to add the monthly report for the
Stratosphere project here: http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/May2014

I agree with Ted. Optiq is a full fledged cost-based query optimization
framework for relational workloads.
I also want to highlight Optiq's JDBC infrastructure (and ODBC at a later
point as well). Rather than implementing the JDBC specification, Optiq
users only have to implement a few interfaces
