I expected gnetlist to replace MVDD by NVDD, or at least flag a warning
that there is something unexpected.
Am I missing something here?

What is the syntax for allotting a routing style to a net?
I saw the syntax here:
http://pcb.gpleda.org/pcb-cvs/pcb.html#Netlist-File and
http://archives.seul.org/geda/dev/May-2008/msg00120.html
I created the netlist using gschem2pcb and then edited it using a text
editor, adding the word "power"
I managed to edit the netlist file manually (in gedit) and added the
word 'Power'. Seems it is case sensitive _and_ tab sensitive. To
summarize, the syntax of the style allocation should be:
netname style_name pin pin pin
where stylename is Case sensitive. e.g. "Power" worked; "power" did not..
I used gedit. I'm working in Ubuntu.

1. Agree! I'd find this much more intuitive and easy to work with. The
layers option will be a big help...
2. What would go to the outline layer? The gerber files have outlines
for each layer right?

I'm running PCB version 20091103 on an Ubuntu 10.10 machine.
I find that no matter what is put in the box for Library location

Recently I wrote a small script to automate some of the things needed
to be done after the gEDA tools are installed:
such as setting up per-user symbols and footprint directories; and
adding these to the gafrc and gschemrc files, etc...
The script (Setup_gEDA.sh) is well commented an

Actually, with respect to the rubber-band mode (both in PCB and gschem,
as a matter of fact) I have no clue whether the mode is 'on' or 'off'.
I can only test the behaviour by doing something and/or toggling from
the menu.
Am I missing something here or is this normal?
Thanks and

No -
I'm running GTK 2.0 and like Colin's, my tear off menus are completely
no functional. Just compiled from source the latest stable versions of
geda and pcb and this happens in both.

Hey,
Somehow missed this thread and replied on the other one... Count me in
for documentation. Please let me know what I can do.
Some of the documentation I have written previously is here:

I agree that too much documentation /can/ be bad - if its in
ers and
simulate the whole thing in one go.
I'd love to put it on the website, once i collect all the symbols,
make a few examples and maybe write short howto...
Thanks and Regards,

Will work on rigging up a set of all symbols, a few examples and docs,
and post it here...
