I'm trying to install FreeDOS 1.2 on a Dell Optiplex 790 with 4GB memory and a 250GB drive. It hangs up at base\chkdsk (1.1 does also). Nearly as I can determine, I have the latest bios version - A18. I think Dell used to offer these machines with FreeDOS. Can anybody help me? Thanks --- This

Hello, I've installed Freedos on a USB stick and rebooted. When I select either of the first 2 boot options, Divide By Zero / Stack Overflow is displayed endlessly, and scrolls off of the screen. I could use some help troubleshooting this, as I'd really like to get UMB & Expanded memory working.

It looks like 1.0 is out.. :) However, i tried it yesterday and it seems that after install and the reboot it hangs? I get the splash screen then just a blinking cursor.. :| No, havent had time to figure out if its me or what.. ( did try it on a Qemu and a real box tho.. same result ) -
